I have begun to play with LTSP 4.1, but have a problem.

I'm getting the dreaded "XDMCP: Manager Unwilling Host Unwilling" deal.
In the past, I've been able to solve this, but not this time.

I have Red Hat 9, and am (trying) to use gdm.

I have no firewall.

I do have a line with an asterisk in

/etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess

netstat does show a listener at 177.

ps ax shows a gdm-binary -nodaemon running process, which does get
respawned from init.

I see nothing amiss in gdmsetup, although there is nothing there
that explicitly enables remote login.

The README for gdm says that tcp wrappers is supported. Did
Red Hat compile this in? Adding

gdm-binary: 192.168.1.

to /etc/hosts.allow did not help.

Anybody have a guess as to the deal here?

BTW, the faq.ltsp.org site is quite dead.
