Hi there,

I'm having the same problem and it seems to depend on the NIC used in the clients. So far I've tried the following types:

(A) 3Com 905B-TX
(B) 3Com 905B-TX NM

With type A everything works just fine, the clients boot pretty fast. With type B, though, it all goes rather slow (it needs about 5 sec to get an IP via DHCP) and the booting process freezes at:

       doing the pivot_root
nfs: server 192.168.0.254 not responding, still trying

The peculiar thing is that if one client is directly connected to the server via a crossover cable, it boots with both cards!

That's all I can say. What I do now is trying to get more NICs of the working type ... ;-)

Any hints will be highly appreciated.

TIA,
Martin Reisinger
