Dear Sir,

-just to say thank you for the prompt response! 

- I shall get on to it right away.
- I forgot, though to think....
- You see, the box boots perfectly well using a KNOPPIX Cd. With a working net 
right away. So, there is no reason for putting in new NICs (except for speed, 
perhaps). I shall boot using KNOPPIX once again, and have a look as to what 
driver is being loaded :-)
