If you are using automount then the "floppy" dir shouldn't show up in
dir listings, it just starts to exist once you enter it. Ie, you can do
"cd /media/ws/201/floppy", but "ls /media/ws/201/" won't give you
anything. So this is normal. The solution is to create a symlink that
can be followed to the directory.

I'm puzzled why it works in mc though. So this might not be it.
