It works fine. But the screen gets stuck at the cursor. Something like the
Xserver not making contact with the display manager. Now this is only for the
customised machines. For machines having ps/2 mouse it works fine. I checked
out the error messages and it says

forward lookup for LAB2-NODE1 does not exist. If i ping LAB2-NODE1 it replies
back. Also nslookup works fine with the ip as well as the hostname of the
respective nodes

It's because you don't have the following line in your dhcpd.conf file:

           use-host-decl-names       on;

That causes the hostname to be sent to the workstation.

Also, if you setup a range of IP addresses to be handed out dynamically,
those workstations won't get a hostname, even with the above line in the
file.

Don't forget, you can also use the IP address or the MAC address in the
lts.conf file, to specify a particular workstation.
