Hi David.

Would you be willing to write up what you had to do to get NX to work?

I'm extremely interested in this... Especially since I'm finding
zebedee+VNC increasingly unreliable.

I don't suppose you've compared NX with LBX?

Hi

We are starting to integrate an LTSP environment in a company. I've already installed an LTSP-Server(4.1) for testing with debian without any Problems. Thanks for the good documentation!

I have played with FreeNX from nomachine.com. I use port forwarding to connect to local LTSP server from remote site. It works very well. Not too sure on its own whether it also encryption facility.

I have not been able to get it working yet. From the list some one told me to check the older version of NXclient. I have not time to do it yet.

Dan Elder seems to have it working.

Cause he has pointed me to a couple of links to FreeNX setup.

But I am impressed with FreeNX. I have been connecting remotely from home to the LTSP server in the office, the experience is great. Before that I use ssh compression/port forwarding. It is ok with broadband but don't try to use it for other slow type of connection.

Cheers
