Hi,

Does anyone have a How-TO on how to use RDESKTOP with ltsp?

I'm under the impression that a rdesktop makes everyone looking at the same desktop (like under a tutorial or a teaching session)

Would it be easier using VNC?

Any info on rdesktop information would be appreciate.
Thanks.
Dave

rdesktop is an open source remote desktop client for the RDP protocol (the protocol used by Windows servers).

When you say use rdesktop with LTSP, are you referring to loading rdesktop on the LTSP server so a user could use rdesktop to get to a Windows server ? If so, just load the rdesktop as an application on the LTSP server. Make a desktop shortcut for the users.

Or, do you mean use rdesktop to remotely login to a Windows server? LTSP runs on top of Linux which uses X windows protocol to communicate. Load an X client on the remote station to log into the LTSP server.
