Michael, We are indeed working on a much better solution to the whole issue of local drives, including USB and built-in floppy and cdrom drives.
If you could take the time to update the LocalMedia wiki page with information about your method, or the fact that there are other methods, along with links, that would help lots of people, as we work to finish up the new method.
