Simon,
That's fantastic news !!!
That reminds me of a new D-Link access point that I picked up.
If you haven't seen the DWL-G730AP, you should check it out. It's a tiny
thing that is made for travelling. The idea is you'd keep it in your
suitcase, and then use it at hotels that offer highspeed broadband, but
not wireless. You plug this thing into the ethernet, and instantly,
your hotel room has wireless internet.
It's got a switch on it, to select Router, AP or Client. It also has a
usb power cable, so you can power the device from the USB port, rather
than take up a precious power outlet in a hotel room.
I'm mentioning this, because it could actually work very well for making
wireless thin clients. Just take a standard thin client, and plug this
d-link device in, to make it a wireless thin client.
I think it even included a piece of double-stick tape, to tape that
sucker to the side or back of the thin client.
And, it's 802.11b/g, so it should be fast enough too.
I have one and i've used it in a hotel room, but i've not had the time
to give it a try on a thin client yet.
If anyone's interested, here's the link:

Simon, if you could add your notes to the LTSP wiki, that'd be great.

In principle, this is exactly what I have done. A lot of wireless APs
will act as routers
or bridges and can operate as clients as well as APs. There are quite a
few wireless
ethernet bridges for sale now that specialise in effectively converting
an existing ethernet
port on any device (printer, XBox, PlayStation...) to wireless without
requiring any
config changes at all to the device.
I have written up my notes on the Wiki sandbox, I just need to figure
out how to put
that into the correct place. I 'll do that later today.
