Should be. Depends on a few things, like what suite you're using for
word processing (openoffice is a memory hog, whereas kwrite and abiword
have a much smaller imprint). Basically, if you're using openoffice,
gaim, firefox al at once and system will feel it, but it'll get
through. your speed might not be that of a single power desktop, but I
think it should be OK. If it's a problem then ram will likely be your
issue. Ram, I find, is the source of almost every computing problem
ever. or at least all the ones I've had.
