Yes its possible but using another tecnology which can compress the
display data.
you must check NX, free implementation FreeNx, or the commercial one in
nomachine.com

(Spanish: Roberto, es posible reducir mucho el ancho de banda ocupado
por LTSP si ocupas FreeNX para realizar la conexion del display grafico,
yo lo he hecho en LC y esta funcionando sin problemas con conexiones
DSL)
