Hey, everyone-
I have LTSP-4.2 set up and running on a quad-core AMD Opteron (2GHz)
server with 1GB RAM per core. The base OS is Debian, and I've upgraded
Firefox to version 1.5.0.3 (32-bit.)
I have checked the stuff out on the wiki at:
http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/LTSP-42-LocalDev
Known troubles:
1) "hostname" gives back the server's name - but maybe that's because I'm
not at the right command line prompt. Ctrl-Alt-F2 gives a completely blank
screen, not a text login like I expected.
I do have the line "SCREEN_02 = shell" in my lts.conf (section for the
specific workstation), so I should have a text login there right?
2) I do have a line "LOCAL_STORAGE = Y" in my lts.conf, but the command
"ps ef|grep lbuscd" only shows the grep command...
3) My test workstation has a M7VIG motherboard, which uses the KM266 Pro
northbridge for video. What driver should I use? I've tried "savage" with
no luck (auto-probing fails message shows up briefly - where is the wkstn
bootlog recorded?) I even tried NSC and GEODE, as that is the processor.
It works anyway, as it falls back to a VESA framebuffer driver - but it
says that's SLO-OW.
Anybody able to help? Thanks in advance!
