The greeter IS done by the client IE the server machine, so there is nothing 
LTSP involved.
Most *dm's I've played with have 'local greeter' and 'remote greeter' setups.
Usually 'remote' is simple to save network bandwidth bla bla
Usually you can set 'remote' same as 'local'
ubuntu does this
