The teacher_tool looks really nice, but when I compiled it on my box
(Debian Testing) it compiled correctly, but showed that no users were
logged on. I contacted the author of the program, and simply put, it
seem as though it is written for RedHat/Fedora/etc and there is some
changes that I would have to make for it to work with Debian. Since I
really did not understand the changes, nor need all the power of that
tool, (I only have 4 seats, +the server) I did not take the time to
disect it all. The author also mentioned that people were working on
a similar tool for Ubuntu, so he suggested I try that.

I tried a package from Ubuntu that looks similar, but since I did not
installed LTSP from a .deb the install also crapped out on me. And
simialar to before, I did not want to take the time to figure that all
out with my 4 seats. More importantly, I did not want to break anything
that was already working. (I've been running LTSP for 3+ years now, and
it works, did not want the ltsp .deb package to mess that up)

I know I did not disable anything by hand... so I am wondering now if
Debian "ships" with it disabled. How could I tell?

The script does have to be run as root, or at least with 'sudo' so not
sure if that address the security or not. Any insight would be
appriciated.
