Maybe I'm just in a bad mood this morning, but I'm going to take you to
task for this. See, common courtesy demands that, if you're asking
people to do something that YOU don't know how to do, being flippantly
insulting isn't the way to endear yourself to people. You're already
down a karma point with me.

Oh, and 3 posts to the mailing list in less than a day? Also bad.
Guess what? Some of us have other things to do besides idle on the
mailing list all day, waiting for Steve Berthiaume (oh, by the way, you
might want to check your mail client's config. I think it's pretty well
standard in most of the world to capitalize your own name) to have a
problem. In general, waiting at least 24-48 hours for a reply is
usually considered the minimum amount of time to wait.

So, down two Karma points.

However, seeing as how helping people is what I do, here's the answer:

Yes, XDMCP is installed by default, it's just not enabled. So, in fact,
the forum people are correct.

To ENABLE xdmcp, either:

1) Exit the /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file, see the [xdmcp] section, or:
2) As an administrative user, go to the System menu, and click on:
System -> Administration -> Login Window
At this point, you'll be asked for your password, enter it, and the
window for configuring gdm will pop up. You want the "remote" tab at
the top. Pop down the Style dropdown, and change from "Remote login
   disabled" to "Same as Local".

Consider yourself enlightened. On more than one issue.

Scott
