Now, I tried LOTS of stuff, I'm getting closer. Below is a roundup of my settings and other details. First things first; if I play FrosenBubble directly on my client from the standard KDE menu, I GOT SOUND!! But that's just about it... In KDE settings, Sound & Multimedia, Sound System, hardware tab: Audio device: Open Sound System Full duplex: no Nothing else ticked. In KDE settings, Sound & Multimedia, Sound System, General tab: Enable sound system: ticked ON Enable networked sound: OFF Autosuspend: 3 sec, ON Test sound is silent In KDE settings, Sound & Multimedia, System Notifications, The K window manager: All sounds are on, "A windows has begun moving" is set to a wav file. Play a sound is ticked, but silent. Player Settings: Use KDE sound system doesn't produce the desired result, it's off. Use an external player is selected with: /usr/bin/esddsp Still no sound, only when playing frosen-bubble...
