I use usb keyboard and mouse on some TC, heres what i use in lts.conf

> X_MOUSE_DEVICE     = "/dev/input/mice"


which works fine for usb keyboard and mouse, but not unfortunately the 
usb (mouse) trackball built into some small factor keyboards i have, 
with these and the above options all i get is up + down even when moving 
the ball side to side, I have used an XF86Config that works fine with 
these on the server and can also confirm that they work fine when 
booting DSL on the TC.  I guess they just may not work on the TC using LTSP.
