Hi, I wouldn't suggest running an X session over wireless. I have done some short range testing using a wireless bridge. The terminal session is generally slow and unstable. I also found that any packet loss can cause weird behavior with an X session. What has worked is VNC or NX. NX seems the best at replicating the wired network experience remotely or over wireless. I'll second the recommendation to use a CF card. Puppy Linux is a CF capable distribution. Check out this thread which describes use Puppy Linux with NX.
