I didn't follow DaveFenwick example, but just did a cp -ax /{root,dev,var,etc,usr,bin,sbin,lib} /opt/muekow/i386/ (less elegant yet quite effective :-) . Your tgz worked quite nice. It was just missing the /sbin/pci_scan and the /etc/vidlist files (copied verbatim from ltsp4.2). The only other missing thing was a video driver for my trident video card, but since my mandriva was running in a Xen domain, it was normal to miss quite a few pieces :-p
I still have a few errors/warnings at boot, however it is a very exiciting first contact with the next LTSP release ! (One of my first aim is to run pulseaudio... I can wait to have flash9 sound in sync with the video !) Kudos to Marek !
