I don't know.  We use term 170's and they have only 128 mb of ram and 
firefox never causes me problems on 35+ terminals.

Granted, they use only basic html.  PPart of hte problem is flash and 
other crappy huge page loads.  Blocking flash would be a big help for 
most.  I suspect squid can do it.
