Hi

- the first one I understand, I think...

- I dd a floppy startup image from www.rom-o-matic.org directly to the 
hardware disk, say /dev/hda1
- that would really raw-write to the disk from the very start of it, right? 
But, it would work. Of course, it would quite effectively wipe the disk, but 
it wouldn't matter,- it would work?

- the second one I don't understand. May I ask, what's a zdisk image? If I get 
a zdisk image, I then tell GRUB about its whereabouts, just as if it was an 
ordinary kernel image?
