It's not that much speedier, etherboot images are usually 16 or 32k.

There is a downside too, which is that HD take up a lot of power, whereas 
floppies don't when they aren't being read.

Probably best to add something to the LTSP scripts to spin down the drives, if 
they will spin, as some don't have the facility.
