I'm running LTSP5 / Ubuntu 6.10 and I'm wondering that if I install a package, say Firefox for example, in the chroot environment using:
sudo chroot /opt/ltsp/i386 aptitude install firefox does this now make firefox run locally on the thin client rather than the server? If so, does anyone have any suggestions as to which applications are good to run locally (firefox, OOo, Evolution) to conserve resources on the server? My clients, on average, are 400MHz with 128MB of RAM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
