As some of you may know, LTSP 5 on Debian has no printing facility.
With the help of #ltsp, I have integrated jetpipe from Ubuntu, and it
works. After a fashion.

Unfortunately, it's totally unreliable - sometimes it crashes without
trace, and sometimes it simply stops responding. I have an strace from
an occurrence of the latter, but I haven't attached it as it's around
200K. I can do so if it's useful. Basically it hangs on a write()
call, but I don't know what that means.

I /think/ the problems occur when printing larger files and / or on
certain printers which may have less RAM, but so far I have had little
time to expand.

Would it be better for me to try and integrate the printing
infrastructure from LTSP 4? I know it has licence issues, but my users
can't carry on like this.

This is the last show-stopper, so any advice much appreciated.

Antony
