Just to make you feel better (still can't guarantee anything) I had a manufacturing facility that needed Cat5 ran out to a CNC machine for uploading cutting programs. The Cat5 did not run parallel to many power cables, but passed by 480v high current voltage lines. The signal was basically unusable with standard Cat5. I swapped out the standard Cat5 for shielded Cat5, and it has worked without a hitch since. So the fact that I went from an unusable line to a functioning line, makes believe that the shielded cable may work out fine in your case. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by the Cotter Technology Department, and is believed to be clean. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
