I have a problem very similar to what Jim Kronebusch
wrote on Thu, 21 Jun 2007 10:39:32; only in my case,
Sabayon is not installed on my system. To summarize,
the client seems to boot up fine all the way to giving
a graphical login on F7. If I use my username and
password on the client at this login, it will give me
the hourglass on a blank screen for a moment, go to a
completely black screen (with an apparent resolution
swap judging by the clicks that come from the
monitor), then after a moment returns me to the
graphical login.
If I swap over to the shell that's running on F1, it
gives me the Server Name, and distro version followed
by the login prompt (as it should), but none of the
username/password combinations that exist on the
server work on the client. It continually returns
login error. Is there some setting that I am
overlooking?
Thanks,
Michael Kosovic
