Bob, I can't help, but I have received some of those errors at times, mostly with the volume applet, but haven't in a few days. Since they are intermittent for me I've been ignoring them until I get more pressing issues resolved. I did install Icewm on the server to see if that would be an easier (and less problematic) window manager. But, I'm starting to want the additional features of GNOME. If you create a new user do you still get the errors?
