That's exactly what I think. Xserver is a server and a what you expect
from a server? That it will serve all clients including bad ones and
won't allow any of them to crash it.
Example: If there was a vulnerability in sendmail causing a specially
crafted email message to hog the machine resources, it would be
immediately considered a bug. There is no difference between Xorg and
sendmail.
I know FFv.3 might be a solution to this particular problem, but I can't
be never sure something else will emerge few weeks later with the same
symptoms.

Xorg guys are doing a great job, but this case really sucks!
