1) Working ubuntu/ltsp5 setup
2) Clone ubuntu:/opt/ltsp to centos:/opt/ltsp
3) Steal ubuntu's /bin/tempfile (libs compatible)
4) Get/steal ltsp-update-utilities
5) ltsp-update-sshkeys
6) boot ubuntu and ltsp-update-image # Worry about details when it all
works (can't run update-image from centos without fiddling)
ummm ltsp-update-image -b /mnt/rabbitC32/opt/ltsp
7) I got and built the nbd utilities, put nbd-server in /usr/sbin and
added a nbd xinetd config, /etc/xinet.d/nbd:
# default: on
# description: nbd server for thin clients
service sieve
{
socket_type = stream
protocol = tcp
wait = no
user = root
server = /usr/sbin/nbdrootd
server_args = /opt/ltsp/images/i386.img
disable = no
flags = IPv4
}
8) Steal /usr/sbin/nbdrootd (trivial)
The TC boots to login screen, accepts name and password

Not generated. Bad name/password gives error, good name/password gives 2
secs of blank screen, the X, the login screen again
<sigh> I guess I'll get the src of ldm and debug/trace
wot-it's-trying-to-do
