1. Yes. 2. Oh, no: the clients would have two graphical login screen, rdesktop (C-A-F4) to a w2K server and ldm (C-A-F5) to the ltsp-server > So you're using the rdesktop screen script; have you tried the following? > > http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/Sound#Rdesktop Not really. Ldm login needs a SOUND_DAEMON (pulseaudio), so the faking with "rdp" is not good for me. According to this wiki I have to choose whether rdesktop shall be able to use the sound or "ldm"... (?) That's why I wrote this: >> Bad news: no sound, it says (not so surprisingly) "Connection refused" > > Sorry to hear that, although as you say - not surprising. Yes. Though, I find LTSP great, but it is like a drug: one wants more and more... :-) > I think I'll bow out now and let someone who actually knows > something/anything about Pulseaudio to help you. Yet another comment: at ltsp-client as root, aplay works but paplay doesn't (Connection failure: access denied), e.g.: paplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav -- Zsolt ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
