So the padsp works, but only once you're logged onto LTSP? I must admit that I 
thought that was what you were after!

So you're using the rdesktop screen script; have you tried the following?

Sorry to hear that, although as you say - not surprising.

I think I'll bow out now and let someone who actually knows something/anything 
about Pulseaudio to help you. Might be worth you letting us know which 
version of LTSP you are using and which distribution.
