Finally, I found the right solution: I thrown my ten old computer to the
trash, and bought ten new with a nice juicy good looking Windows'Vista in.




































Naaaaaa NO WAY; using m$ "products" is much alike killing yourself eating
monsanto "food":)

In fact, the solution was quite simple: the "lts.conf.sample" says the
X_DPMS are imported from X; which appears to be true but for the default
values (I think it's 10min to blank, 16 to suspend and 20 to off).

So I add these lines to my lts.conf:

        X_DPMS             = Y
        X_DPMS_STANDBYTIME = 3
        X_DPMS_SUSPENDTIME = 3
        X_DPMS_OFFTIME     = 3

and now I've got my monitors off after 3min while waiting in GDM.

The KDE's display settings are also working right (tested with 1min and
5min settings for all times)
