I am getting the same error here. The device is being mounted on the
server in /tmp/.user-ltfs, but the icons are not showing up on the desktop.

It is usable but inconvenient.

It seems to be related to xprop. When I go to the root shell on the
client and try xprop -root | grep LTSP, I get an error:

xprop: unable to open display ''

If I set the display variable manually, to localhost:11.0,

I still get the same error.

xprop: unable to open display 'localhost:11.0'

I suspect that something about the .Xauthority is not working, but I do
not know what.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful.
