Greetings, What is the safest, and less hassle-free option if I want to upgrade the underlying distro, from Ubuntu Feisty (7.04) to 8.04, on my server running LTSP5? Update the distro and rebuild the entire thin client environment with "ltsp-build-client", or just upgrade my ubuntu distro?
I could live with the fact that the ltsp chroot is "old" (old thin client environment preserved) and the distro new - if everything works smoothly this way. I'm also OK with upgrading the thin client environment if there is only a moderate amount of tweaking the settings to fit my setup¹. ¹ dhcp is running on another server than the ltsp server. I have only one network interface configured for both servers. -- Anton ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
