We would use too, if there was a choice. Our suppliers send material on CD/DVD discs. I can't blame them for choosing a €1 disc over a €15 USB-stick ;-) > In Finland it is hard to get something outside of big vendors... We have a few HP t5000 series terminals. They have been working like a charm - except that my external CD-drive experiments have failed. I tried putting a CD-drive in a external IDE-case and plug the case with USB to the terminal. It worked for a while with LTSP 4, but not 5 :-( I could perhaps give it another go since some users are on holiday and don't need their terminal. At least I could thoroughly debug and report the output... maybe we could find a working solution? > Maybe you should build them yourself... > > Here are nice examples what to build: > > http://www.logicsupply.com/categories/intel_based_systems > http://www.logicsupply.com/categories/amd_based_systems > > http://www.logicsupply.com/products/lf_5677 > > SolidLogic Little Falls 5677 Mini-ITX System - $240.95 > > (about 150 euros, but you can't get this in this price in Europe, I > think...) Thanks Asmo. I will study these links. The cheapest price is not the top priority, though it is desired to stay below €450. Priorities: - Works with LTSP5 and PXE boots - Quiet. Preferably fanless - CD/DVD-drive - Somewhat esthetic looking, small physical size - Price below 450-500 euros. -- anton ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
