Our Ubuntu-fi forum pointed me to the this bug:

"This fix should be backported to the 1.6.0 releases. It's a rather
crippling bug with Java audio on Linux."

LTSP5 use server's Java - in my case:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Malted$ ./rts.sh
JVM has been found
JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.06/jre/

java.lang.Exception: invalid parameter: lms_unit

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Malted$

There is no error messages, but sound is on server side.

Is it using/try to use ESD? Or which program uses ESD?

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Malted$ ls -al /tmp/.esd*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 ltsp001 ltsp001 9 2008-08-19 18:49 /tmp/.esd-1001 -> /tmp/.esd
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Malted$

Maybe that tells more to someone, I hope.

Malted seems to be version 2.6, not 2.5.

Best Regards Asmo Koskinen.
