For LTSP network you would need the server locally available in your
LAN, there is no way of getting around that. You can however bootup
image that support Amazon EC2 to connect all the clients to the cloud.

openSUSE KIWI imaging system supports building of EC2 images, check
out the following links for information on building KIWI images that
support Amazon EC2:

We can probably adapt KIWI-LTSP (http://en.opensuse.org/LTSP ) image
to support EC2 so all clients can act as nodes.
