Hi Nathan, just have a look at dansguardian.conf. You can specify a different authentication plugin so that user are identified by ther username. Most likely authplugin = '/etc/dansguardian/authplugins/proxy-basic.conf' is right for you. Also Squid has to be configured to use usernames. The documentation in this file is good, but google does a good job, too. So first step: squid with authentication, second step: dansguardian. Attention: Transparent proxies are not possible with authentication!
You can then sort users with lists/filtergrouplists into different categories (eg. "teachers and pupils"), so that different filters can be applied to them.
