As we switched to LTSP of Ubuntu 9.04 the way X is configured has
changed. Now you have a bunch of scripts in
/usr/share/ltsp/screen-session.d for X configuration. That makes it
very difficult for me to add a font path. I have no idea how to do
that. I still do not understand the way X is configured with those
scripts. In Hardy we just added a line to configure-x.sh. That script
doesn't work anymore though one should be able to load it via
CONFIGURE_X_COMMAND = "/usr/share/ltsp/configure-x.sh" in lts.conf. If
I define that value in lts.conf there is no result. No xorg.conf is
generated (nor a ltsp-xorg.conf). That is a BUG. But I could not find
the reason so far. The scripts look right for me.

However - I need to add a font path now. How can I do that? I tried
xset fp+ /../../ but that doesn't work of course if you use it in a
script while X is not running.

Furthermore: If I use in lts.conf:
USE_XFS = "True"
XFS_SERVER = "IP" (uses standart port 7000 for xfs)
ldm does not come up anymore.

Does anyone of you have an idea how to solve the problems mentioned
above or how to add a font path? This is a fundamental problem for
everyone intending to use mathematica.

Your help is really much appreciated. Thank you.

Peter
