The freezing problems are not unique to geode drivers. I've seen also
via-based thin clients freeze randomly with openchrome driver and heard
various rumours of many others. For example, on ubuntu hardy some via
chipsets require dri disabled to work correctly.
I've been trying to collect information about the crashes on my test box
but so far I haven't got anything useful as the thin client crashes with
no warnings and ssh connections just freeze along with everything else.
The box I'm using now for testing has 512MB of memory with s3 unichrome
PM800 chip. X freezes randomly with no warning, maybe every 2-3 days.
Free memory never goes below 100MB on the box.
Would anyone have suggestions on how to get useful information from
X/kernel/something else when these freezes happen?
