Thank you very much! I'm pretty sure that's one of the many variants that I tried. Even with your file, I ran into a "PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout" problem. But at least with your file I was able to determine that I had a good tftpd-hpa file, and that I needed to look elsewhere. So I replaced the tftp line in my /etc/inetd.conf file in the Lucid test server with that from my Hardy production server, and it worked. Glory be to our holy God.
For some reason LTSP 4.2 doesn't fully boot, but it doesn't appear to be a tftp problem. But LTSP 5 works, and that's the most important thing. Thank you again. Progress... that's a good thing! I hope you have a very nice day. You made my day, that's for sure! ----- Original Message ---- From: Michael Crider <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, May 13, 2010 1:51:36 PM Subject: Re: [Ltsp-discuss] Upgrading LTSP from Karmic to Lucid /etc/default/tftpd-hpa from Lucid upgrade, after manually editing to work: TFTP_USERNAME="tftp" TFTP_DIRECTORY="/var/lib/tftpboot" TFTP_ADDRESS="0.0.0.0:69" TFTP_OPTIONS="--secure" On 05/13/2010 02:20 PM, Nicholas Metsovon wrote: > Would Asmo, or anybody out there who has sucessfully upgraded to Lucid please > post your /etc/default/tftpd-hpa to the list?
