Yup, I follow and understand each of these cases, but don't see how
they apply. There must be a driver for the network card, because it
does a gPXE boot perfectly every four or five tries. There is only one
NIC in the client. And, the only thing strange about my DHCP setup
(using ltsp-server-standalone) is that I use dynamic DNS
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_DNS) to associate names with my
leases.


Thank you for the leads. At this point I'll probably just return the
boards, as we don't have the manpower to figure this thing out. I'd
bet the problem is fixed in Lucid anyway!
