It works here too, but in /tmp rather than /media...

Here, if plugged after boot, nothing happens, with or without media.

I know it should work, but I've repeated the upgrade on another
identical (V)Server after purging old LTSP package just to be sure,
but the results are exactly the same...

I will probably try under a Squeeze VServer to see if it makes a
difference.
