11.4 is just released, edu is now under development, there are some
annoying bugs[1] which needs to be fixed before we can release 11.4
based edu. The bug is critical for LTSP deployment so till that is
fixed gnome/gtk apps will look bit ugly, kde looks fine though.

openSUSE-Edu 11.3 available includes all the latest updates

Earlier 64bit was required only to use RAM over 4G, now that
limitation is not there in 32bit kernel, so unless there is some other
requirement that cannot be met by 32bit media or someone willing to
work on it there will not be 64bit media.
