Client in Huntsville, Texas is looking for a Linux Architect for a Long Term
Contract.  They want this top candidate to start as soon as May 1st.  They
are looking to do a phone screen with candidate and make a decision.

Send your resume and hourly rate for consideration.  You will be required to
fill out a skills matrix before resume is sent to client.

Client is looking for a team player.  Any certifications are a definite
plus.  Here are a list of various requirements:


1. Experience managing users in a Linux environment ;password aging, groups
disk quotas ect                                       **



2. Unix/Linux security/knowledge  of data secur standards

3. Building custom kernels  from source , replacing parts of the OS from
source- *must have a little*

4. Compiling and installing  open source software (from source code)**

5. Experience deploying and managing thin clients (embedded systems running
Linux intended to replace desktops)

6. Automating and building tools  using scripting languages (sh,ksh, perl,
ect)

7. Understands server virtualization with one of these:vmware, Xen, or KVM

8. Exp using, config and sup Open Office

9. Proficient using package man tools  ((rpm, yast, yum, zypper,  )

/have setup and run package repositories before

10. Can set up and maintain a monitoring soft such as Cacti, Zabbix, Nagios

11. Exp creating and man sys documentation , configs and backup procedures
