You don't. The chroot contains just enough GNU/Linux to make the
client a terminal of the server. If your server contains the user
accounts and apps that you want, then ltsp-build-client is all you
need to run.

Only if you want to run them as local apps, but it's not necessary as
all server apps will run from your client in a default setup.

No. Again, this is on the server, which is where it needs to be for LTSP.

No. Did you run ltsp-build-client and try booting a client? Do this,
log in as one of your users and see how it works.
