LDM_SESSION IN ONIERIC I've upgraded Edubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10.
Previously in 11.04 I had removed Unity which was not required for my LTSP thin-client users. The result in 11.04 was indeed what I wanted: that the default LTSP session reverted to Gnome. Now, in 11.10, I have also subsequently removed Unity from its default upgrade install and installed Gnome. But the default LDM_SESSION is no longer Gnome. And I cannot find any effective syntax for the LDM_SESSION in lts.conf that will make Gnome the default session in 11.10. (For example, LDM_SESSION=gnome is not effective; nor is LDM_SESSION='gnome-session'; nor any further variation thereof...) Can anyone point me to the definitive syntax for LDM_SESSION for each of the available sessions? Separately, is it possible to edit the list of available sessions presented to a thin-client LTSP user under Preferences/Select Session/Select your Session Manager/... - so that only the locally supported sessions are actually revealed to the user?
