Hallo.

In our school we use ltsp in ubuntu 10.04.
Our thin clients are old computers with hard drives. I have prepared
them swap partition sda2. (mkswap /dev/sda2; swapon /dev/sda2).

In lts.conf I set USE_LOCAL_SWAP = True. Clients actually included
partition in the swap space, but never actually start to use it (see the
top listing): Swap: 94684k total, 0k Used. Even when fully occupied RAM
(local apps).

I tried to set different values of swapiness, but it had no effect.

What can block the use of swap? How to force the thin clients to start
using swap?

Thanks for the advice
Lukas Bernard
