If the disk image the clients boot off fits into RAM, it will be cached
anyway, so I wouldn't bother getting an SSD.

And if I still got an SSD, I wouldn't bother putting /tmp and /var
somewhere else. Hell, most users have the swapfile on the SSD, they
hopefully can take a few logfiles by now.
