We are running Ubuntu 12.04 ltsp , and ldap running on a squeeze server. So password changes are very easy to deal with. We have simple scripts to make a system an ldap client.
Could future ltsp installs be set up to serve ldap from the ltsp host as default instead of using passwd & group set up? Doing that should make it easier to deal with password changes. I'm far from an ldap expert. Yet since we converted 18 months ago there is so much less work dealing with user accounts.
